Lobelia siphilitica can hybridize with Lobelia cardinalis to yield a more *purple* color bloom. These hybrids, can be called: Lobelia Vedrariensis (Lobelia × speciosa 'Vedrariensis') or sometimes Lobelia × gerardii. [For More Info]

These were grown from open pollinated seed, we can't tell whether they'll be "true" blue or purple so until each one blooms.
